Welcome to "Hoops Around the Clock" – where the love of basketball meets the power of community for an unforgettable 24-hour basketball event! 🏀

More than just a sport

At Hoopstars, we're passionate about making basketball accessible to everyone and creating opportunities for players of all ages and abilities to thrive on the court. That's why we're thrilled to launch the Hoopstars Foundation with an epic celebration of the game we love.

Event Details:

When: 20th July, starting at 10 AM

Where: City Academy Norwich

Join us on 20th July at City Academy as we embark on a journey of hoops, camaraderie, and giving back.

From dawn to dusk, and beyond, we'll be dribbling, shooting, and scoring our way through 24 hours of non-stop basketball action – all in support of a great cause.

Hoops Around the Clock

FORMAT

The event will start at 10 am on the 20th of July. Each hour will feature a specific theme or category, with players divided into two teams: Team Red vs. Team Black. The scoring will begin at the start of the event and continue throughout the 24 hours. Each hour will be further divided into 6-minute periods to facilitate rotations and allow as many people as possible to play within the hour.

SCHEDULE

The event will start at 10 am, with arrival time set at 9:30 am. Then, every hour from 10 am on the 20th of July, each hour will feature a different theme or category, starting from Hoopz.

9:30 AM: Arrival

10 AM: Hoopz

11 AM: Under-9

12 PM: Wheelz

1 PM: Under-12

2 PM: All Girls

3 PM: Under-12

4 PM: Under-14

SCHEDULE

5 PM: Under-16

6 PM: Parents vs Players

7 PM: Under-14

8 PM: Under-16

9 PM: Under-18 & Adults

10 PM: Under-18 & Adults

11 PM: Glow in the dark basketball

SCHEDULE

From midnight to 7 AM, it will be our hardcore hours, reserved for players who have purchased the Core Group tickets. These players will be locked in and will play through the night.

12 AM: Midnight Fancy Dress

1 AM: 3v3

2 AM: 3v3

3 AM: Walking Basketball

4 AM: Shooting Games

5 AM: 5v5

6 AM: Basketball Danceathon

SCHEDULE

At 6 AM, we will see our non-core players return and continue playing all the way until 10 AM when the 24 hours are over and we have a grand finish.

7 AM: 3X3

8 AM: All Ages

9 AM: All Ages

10 AM: Grand Finish 24 Hours Over

Tickets And Donations

*Please note that to purchase the Core Group tickets, players need to be in Year 8 or above and have parental permission.

TARGET

We’re hoping to raise at least £4000 at this event. All funds raised will go directly to the Norfolk Hoopstars Foundation to promote inclusivity, break down financial barriers, and impact mental health and wellbeing through the incredible medium of basketball.

We greatly appreciate all donations, including spectator donations and participation in the 50/50 raffle. In the 50/50 raffle, half of the amount raised will go to the foundation, while the other half will go to the raffle winner.

Throughout the 24 hours, the tuck shop will be open, selling refreshments and food. The profits from the tuck shop will also go towards supporting the foundation.
