About the NHF

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Norfolk Hoopstars Foundation (NHF), a transformative initiative that aims to provide more opportunities by breaking barriers and building dreams.

The Norfolk Hoopstars Foundation (NHF) is not just a foundation; it stands as a resolute commitment to fostering inclusivity, breaking financial barriers, and impact mental health and wellbeing, effecting positive transformations in lives through the incredible medium of basketball.

In collaboration with local organisations such as Active Norfolk and Norfolk Community Foundation, we've secured funding to expand our impact, ensuring that everyone, regardless of financial constraints, can access our diverse basketball programmes. This includes spaces in community hubs, holiday camps, specialised programmes like Hoopz and Wheelz, and our dynamic performance programme. This collaboration reaffirms our dedication to making basketball accessible and enriching for individuals from all walks of life.

Foundation Objectives

  • Remove Financial Constraints

    Eliminate financial constraints, ensuring everyone has a chance to play regardless of circumstances and can actively participate and benefit from the transformative power of basketball.

  • Free Spaces and Reduced Fees

    Provide free spaces and reduced fees across a spectrum of our basketball programmes, including our community hubs, all girls sessions, engaging holiday camps, inclusive programmes like Hoopz, Wheelz, HBL (Hoopstars Basketball League) and our dynamic performance programme.

  • Diversity

    We are committed to reaching a diverse range of eligible individuals, encompassing not only those receiving free school meals, refugees, and families facing financial challenges but also extending our support to marginalised communities, individuals with disabilities, and those who may be experiencing social or economic hardships.

  • Collaboration

    Collaborate with individuals, access HAF Funding, and offer complimentary spaces to those in need.

How to apply?

We welcome individuals to apply for our free spaces through a straightforward and accessible application process. The application may include questions about personal details, basketball experience (performance programme), and an opportunity for applicants to share how participating in our programmes would be personally meaningful to them.
