The Norfolk Youth Basketball League (NYBL) was established in 2019 with the vision of offering competitive opportunities for young players in Norfolk and the East region to enhance their skills.

During the 2022/2023 NYBL season, our Hoopstars teams showcased exceptional performance and determination. Notably, our U11 team emerged as true champions, winning the prestigious U11 Cup. Their dedication and teamwork led them to claim the top spot, highlighting their talent and passion for the game.

In addition to this outstanding achievement, our other u11 team showcased incredible skill and determination, earning the well-deserved distinction of u11 plate silver medalists.

Our U13 and U15 teams also made their mark in the NYBL, earning silver medals in their leagues. They displayed exceptional skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship, competing fiercely against strong opponents to secure their positions as top contenders.

The success of our Hoopstars teams in the NYBL reflects the dedication of our players, coaches, and community to elevate basketball in Norfolk. We are proud of our young athletes' growth and achievements and look forward to the upcoming season as we continue to nurture their passion and support their journey towards even greater accomplishments.

This season in the NYBL, we have entered more teams, providing more playing opportunities for our players. We have three teams in the U11 category: U11 Black, U11 Red, and U11 All Girls. In the U13 category, we have U13 Red and U13 Black.

On the recent finals day, all of our U11 teams qualified for the finals. The U11 Black team advanced to the cup finals, while U11 Red and U11 All Girls qualified for the U11 plate finals. Both U11 Red and Black finished 3rd in their categories, and our All Girls team earned 2nd place after a hard-fought final. Their hard work and dedication are undeniable, and seeing their improvement at every tournament is what truly matters.

Our U13 Red team also made it to the final. After an impressive semi-final win, a close loss in the final placed them 2nd in the U13 category. Well done to everyone involved and who participated throughout the whole season.
