  • Hoops Around the Clock is a 24-hour basketball event designed to bring together basketball enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels for a continuous day of fun, competition, and community engagement.

  • The event will take place at City Academy Norwich. The detailed schedule can be found on our website and social media.

  • The event is open to everyone. You can sign up for the session applicable to you.

  • The event will start at 10 am, with arrival time set at 9:30 am. Then, every hour from 10 am on the 20th of July.

    From midnight to 7 AM, it will be our hardcore hours, reserved for players who have purchased the Core Group tickets. These players will be locked in and will play through the night.

    At 6 AM, we will see our non-core players return and continue playing all the way until 10 AM when the 24 hours are over and we have a grand finish.

  • There are three ticket types:

    Core Group (£50), Players in the hard core hours between midnight and 7am.

    Single game ticket (£10), this allows you to purchase a slot to play during one of the hourly slots.

    Day Pass (£25), you can play in any category that you fit within 10am- Midnight on day 1 & 7am - 10am on day 2.

  • We greatly appreciate all donations, including spectator donations and participation in the 50/50 raffle. In the 50/50 raffle, half of the amount raised will go to the foundation, while the other half will go to the raffle winner.

  • Yes, you have the option to purchase our exclusive 'Hoops Around the Clock' t-shirt for £6.

  • You can sign up by scanning the provided QR code or by visiting our website.

  • Participants should come dressed in comfortable sports attire suitable for basketball. Bring your A-game, a water bottle, some snacks, and a sense of humor. Maybe a comfy pillow for the inevitable halftime nap.

    Throughout the 24 hours, the tuck shop will be open, selling refreshments and food. The profits from the tuck shop will also go towards supporting the foundation.

  • Our team lead by Coach Claire will be leading and supervising the event to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.

  • Yes, parents are welcome to attend and support their children during the event. There are also a parents vs players category and adult’s category where they can participate in the event.

  • Players will be divided into two teams: Team Red vs. Team Black. The scoring will begin at the start of the event and continue throughout the 24 hours. Each hour will be further divided into 6-minute periods to facilitate rotations and allow as many people as possible to play within the hour.

  • We recommend signing up as soon as possible.

  • We adhere to strict safety protocols, including having trained first aid personnel on-site, ensuring proper hydration and breaks, and maintaining a safe and secure environment throughout the event.

  • Absolutely! You can play as many category you are suitable as possible. Just remember to stretch, stay hydrated, and maybe take a nap or two. We don't expect you to play non-stop, unless you're aiming for a world record.

  • Nope! Whether you’re a seasoned pro or you think a “double dribble” is a new Starbucks order, you’re welcome. This event is all about having fun.

  • Only if it can dunk. Just kidding! We love animals, but let’s keep the kangaroos at home for this one.

  • Lots of power naps, and the excitement of non-stop basketball. Also, maybe avoid counting sheep.

  • Absolutely! We’ll have a playlist to keep the energy up. Get ready to break some ankles and best some moves.
