Hoopstars Basketball League (HBL)
Get ready for an exhilarating season of basketball action as we switch things up with our revamped Hoopstars Basketball League (HBL)! This year, we're taking a fresh approach to enhance the player experience and create an even stronger sense of team camaraderie. The aim of the HBL will be to provide players at each of the Community Hubs the opportunity to play in matches, gain experience and most importantly have fun!! From these tournaments will allow us to select players for each age-group who will represent Norfolk Hoopstars in the Norfolk Youth Basketball League (NYBL)!!
Following the completion of Term 1 of our new and improved HBL, we have made some adjustments heading into Term 2.
U9s & U11s
Each term will consist of 6 competition weeks per age group, offering players the chance to showcase their skills and compete at their best. But that's not all – players will be assigned to teams, donning their team-colored T-shirts, and immersing themselves in the thrill of being part of a cohesive unit for the entire term.
Our U9s and U11s age groups will continue in the league format; however, we are hoping to increase the number of teams in U9s to utilise two cross-courts running at the same time, engaging our fantastic youngest members. U11s matches will transition to a full-court format for each team. The coaches will also act as referees during the games while coaching.
U9s / U11s - £36 per term (we recommend players are available for at least 3 dates)
N.B. U9s / U11s are signing up for the whole term; U13s & U15s/U18s are signing up just for January at this stage.
U13s, U15s & U18s
Our U13s, U15s, and U18s will return to our previous format, featuring one match per month. Members will sign up on a pay-and-play basis. Referees will be present at these matches to ensure smooth operations, allowing our coaches to concentrate on the teams. Team t-shirts will not be provided, as we plan to mix up the teams for each tournament.
U13s & U15s/U18s - £7 per match
N.B. U9s / U11s are signing up for the whole term; U13s & U15s/U18s are signing up just for March at this stage.
Our age groups include U9, U11, U13, and U15 & U18, ensuring a wide range of competition and fun for all skill levels.
