Successful May Half Term Basketball Camp

Norfolk Hoopstars' May Half Term Basketball Camp was an incredible success, drawing a massive turnout of enthusiastic young players over the course of four action-packed days. The camp provided a fantastic opportunity for kids to enhance their basketball skills, make new friends, and enjoy a fun-filled learning experience.

The camp kicked off with two days dedicated to the younger age group, focusing on fundamental skills such as dribbling, footwork, shooting, and passing. The coaches emphasised the importance of mastering these foundational techniques to build a solid basketball skill set.

The following two days were dedicated to the older age group, where participants delved into more advanced techniques and strategies. Closeouts, on-ball defense, screen and roll, and post defense were among the areas of focus during these dynamic sessions. The coaches were impressed by the dedication and commitment shown by the older players, who eagerly absorbed the advanced teachings.

Each day concluded with exhilarating 1v1, 3v3, and 5v5 tournaments, allowing the young athletes to put their newfound skills to the test in a competitive and supportive environment. The tournaments not only showcased their growth but also fostered a sense of camaraderie and friendly competition among the participants.
